What kind of lens should I buy?
I have a Canon EOS Digital Rebel XT and I want to get a new lens. Right now it has the lens it came with, but I feel like it doesn’t take as clear shots as I want it to. I also don’t like that when I get really close to an object it can’t focus on it to make it clear. So I think I’m looking for a zoom lens that can do nice macros but also can take a good picture from far away. Any suggestions? I’m also not looking for something too expensive, maybe something like 100-300?

usually the kit lenses are goo lenses, as long as you know what you are doing and can accept the imperfections…

what are you looking for??? prime lens??? telephoto??? or a "one does all"??? 18-200mm might be what you are looking for… look for a sigma or tamron for lower cost..

Okayy well I like love this guyy and I am wondering (in your opinion) if you think that he likes me! I also wanna know what I could do to let him know I like him without actually telling him.. basically what could I do to flirt but be subtle.

1.When we play football it ALWAYS turns into wrestle Shelby for the football.. me and him wrestle-like in the grass for the football rolling around on top of each other.
2. He barely stepped on my finger but I pouted to see his reaction and when I got up I sofly whispered my finger hurts and he came up behind me and wrapped his arms around me and said I’m sorry.
4. I had me arms wrapped around him from behind trying to tackle him during football and then his mom pulled up in her truck and called him over and he wouldn’t let my arms go. He used his arms to keep my arms wrapped around him.
5. His friends took my camera and they wanted to play football but they wouldn’t play without him so I held him hostage with my arms wrapped around him and he didn’t resist and try to get away. He just stood there and walked with me.
6. I was sitting in my friends drive way when all of the sudden my friend say "here comes ******" so I quickly peek behind me and then act like I don’t see him.. then about a min. later he rolls over my back/shoulder then lands in my lap. He also jumps on my back when im not looking.
7. He went to high five my friend but she wouldn’t high five him so I high fived him and then he playfully hit my head so I playfully hit him back and then he smiled and then I started to chase after him but this one chick who also likes him kept giving me this dirty look so I stopped flirting with him before she said something.

In my opinion he definitely likes you. Just half of the things you mentioned would have probably been enough to convince me so. When you’re talking to him some time just try and bring up the fact that you like him and see how he responds, find out if he done any other activities besides football and ask if he would like to do them with you sometime. Nicely said, I totally agree with you. Good quotes from the Bible by the way Jesus was a prophet for how can he be God when He died and God does not die. Also God has no sons and is in no need of sons is he not the almighty so can he not forgive sins? Is not one of the 10 commandments the one that says you are to worship one God yet we find Christians worshipping Jesus and God or just Jesus like I used to before I became Muslim. M.S. — I am agnostic, not really Christian, but I think most Christians will NOT accept a "course correction" from Muslims.

I would imagine the same is true the other way around: I believe most Muslims will NOT accept a "course correction" from Christians. Not if Christians ask you to give up beliefs that you think are central to your faith.

I wonder if it would be more useful to ask what Muslims & Christians can both agree on. Or better still, what Muslims, Christians & Jews can all agree on.

Or even better than that — what all people of good will can agree on.

I’m not saying you should abandon Islam, or that the Christians should abandon Christianity, or the Jews or Hindus or Buddhists should abandon what they believe.

But might it be possible for each of us to encourage all the others in following the good — for example, in embracing certain values such as righteousness & mercy that people of many different religions would agree are sacred?

Domestic violence/Mental child abuse?
I’m an Asian teen, and I’ve been wondering if my mother has been receiving domestic abuse. If she is, how do I fix this all up?and my brother and I aren’t doing much better either.

My dad has always been stingy with the money. All my mom’s friends [she doesn't have very many anymore...she told me my dad's coldness distanted her friendships] say so, along with my non-blood related aunt on dad’s side, and others that know my mom well. My mom’s a housewife and stays at home taking care of me and my brother. I know she hates her life, and the only reason she’s staying is for the sake of me& my brother[she told me], otherwise she would have returned to my grandma/grandpa’s house a long time ago. My dad doesn’t let us spend much money on extra stuff when he had a job [he got laid off a while ago], and he’s a total momma’s boy. I know, because ever since he got laid off, he calls his mom EVERYday and listens to the goddamned woman’s complaints and blathers. My grandparents on my dad’s side have had 2 caretakers, and BOTH of them quit; I’ve met both of the caretakers and they’re very nice according to me and all my relatives that have met them…but my gradnparents are jsut picky[mostly my grandma-you may say she's a lonely old lady, but I think she's a whiny b*tch]. Basically, my dad’s a control freak and a momma’s boy, I’ve witnessed many people saying that [behind my dad's back, of course] , which is not a very nice combination. My mom told me to never marry someone stingy and mean like my dad [no idea why they married in the 1st place-]

I’ve suggested divorce and for me & my brother to go to adoption agencies, but she says no. Help?

Oh, and my dad constantly insults me, and lately he’s been threatening me to get out if I don’t recognize him as a relative. Truth to be told, he can burn (BIG empasisis on burn) in hell for all I care since he’s jobless and there’s no need for him to be around. Say I’m cold, but just because he’s not happy doesn’t give him any right to threaten me-he’s never been nice and friendly like all my friends’ dads..he used to, when I was younger[like when i was 5], but not anymore. I am barely allowed to go to movies with my friends, and he discourages me from going to social stuff, like shopping w/ friends, and is "conservative" [AKA stingy, barely spends money on stuff] I want to report him to the authorities, but I’m worried about my future-and my mom. I want to stay @ the high school I’m at, graduate, and go to a good college-without him in my life.

Any advice? And if this got taken to court, what would happen to me/my brother/my future?

I truly do feel for you. Being in a situation like this has to be tough. Believe me I know. You have to put on a happy face for school and friends, and then when you get home, sometimes it is just hell. However, your situation is not really classified as domestic abuse. Your father is in no way physically abusing your mother. He is out of work..but his being stingy would not be considered abuse unless he is truly depriving you of your basic needs. I don’t mean to undermine your problem, but I am just offering the "court" viewpoint. On the other hand, this type of situation cannot be judged by an outside. We don’t know your father’s personality, or just how bad he may make your life. Maybe he isn’t nice or friendly because he is out of work. Truth be told, he IS your father. My father says the coldest things to me: "Your useless. I never want to see your face again. You cause all the problems in the house." –and believe me, there has been MUCH worse. But I would never wish for him to burn in hell. You said he was nicer when you were younger. If you offer him your support, maybe let him know exactly what is bothering you, maybe he’ll change. Explain just how bad he is affecting your lifestyle. Throw in some tears, cry! Get the sympathy from him that you deserve. If your mom is honestly in a situation that is psychologically harming her to the point of no return, a divorce is possible. Coming from an asian family myself, I know this is a type of faux pa. Your mother will ALWAYS do what is best for you. She may deny your idea for the divorce because she is so concerned about you and your brother. Whatever you do, DO NOT go to an adoption agency. You have loving parent(s). Move in with your mom if your dad and her end up getting separated. Just remember, there are people out there who are suffering a great deal in PHYSICALLY abusive situations. I don’t think this is domestic violence (or abuse) but your dad sounds like a miserable person. Stinginess is not against the law but it is a terrible way to have to go through life. Just remain close with your mom and it might be a good idea to see a therapist. Good luck.
